Guest Poem: On Seeking In Philosophy

Seek not to know the reason why,
Fame and fortune passed you by,
The fruit hangs on the knowledge tree,
But is forbidden you and me.

Seek not for riches, nor for wealth,
What good are these, if lose of health
Results; and how can money be
The God of those who cannot see.

Time is but futile, do not pause,
To seek, debate, and view the cause
Whereof thy future time will lie,
Why liveth Man? Unless to die.

By Ann Jones (My mum, in memorium)
