Terzanelle: "Sarah-Jane Smith"

Now the last ventilation shaft has opened out
Into the glorious opening of the daylight's fire
And life burns bright in the brave heart to shout
That Harry Sullivan has earned her ire!

We who salute her, will see her form go
Into the glorious opening of the daylight's fire
Though as we blink our tears as cold as snow
May hinder her departure from our sight
We who salute her, will see her form go
As in a dark glass, though the screens of light
Preserved as memories that cheat us not
May hinder her departure from our sight

We must accept that parting of the ways
And while imagination still remains new
Preserved as memories that cheat us not
We are made better for the one we knew
Now the last ventilation shaft has opened out
And while imagination still remains new
And life burns bright in the brave heart to shout

I cried yesterday. This made me cry again.
